Hammersmith Apollo

HMV Hammersmith Apollo is a major live entertainment venue in Hammersmith West London and is one of the UK’s largest and best-preserved original theatres which attracts thousands of visitors’ every year. 

The theatre has a large 35 foot deep stage, and is an excellent fan shaped auditorium which offers remarkable intimacy and excellent sightlines from all parts of the theatre.  It houses twenty dressing rooms and a restaurant located on the balcony area.

The most recent changes to the venue happened when it was bought by MAMA Group which is a UK based entertainment company who own a number of other venues across the country.  In 2009 MAMA group entered into a joint venue with HMV which is where is gets is name today of HMV Hammersmith Apollo.

Today it is one of the most popular entertainment venues in the capital and still attracts stars from around the world.

Don Williams

After six years, and having receiving countless requests from his British fans, Don Williams returns to the UK for a short tour in the Spring of 2012. Don will be performing many of the songs that have made him a household name and that all his fans know and love. Hits such as 'I Believe In You', 'My Best Friend', 'Good Ole Boys Like Me', 'Tulsa Time' and many more. Williams says My fans in the UK have been the most fantastic and loyal of any and Im really looking forward to meeting up with some of them on this tour. To celebrate, Don will be recording an album of new material on Sugarhill Records which will be released to tie in with the tour.

He does impressions of Ductronc, Dassin and Philippe Manoeuvre - which are better than the real ones. Laurent Gerra wants a show in the real tradition of music-hall, with him on stage are: the Big Band de Fred Manoukian, 8 musicians, with whom he feels "like a kid with a wonderful toy".
